Spirit World & Daylight Savings Time Empty
PostSubject: Spirit World & Daylight Savings Time   Spirit World & Daylight Savings Time Icon_minitimeSun Mar 09, 2014 6:25 pm

This is a silly question, but the more I try to tell myself it's not worth bringing up, the more valid (in my mind) it becomes.
In the USA, we do this stupid thing called Daylight Savings Time, and it happens twice per year: once in the fall, and again just before spring. Im not sure if other countries do this, so I will explain what happens in minimalistic terms. In the fall (not sure of the date), our clocks go from 2:58am, 2:59am, then..... 2:00am.
Just now, our clocks moved forward an hour. We went from 1:58am, 1:59am, to... 3:00am. Thats right, we skipped 2:00, and went to 3:00. The reason behind this, as I understand it, is to have more "daytime" hours, or hours where we can get the most out of sunlight. Anyhow... on to my point regarding spirits and this ridiculous practice.
I know that there are a lot of people who believe that 3am is the best time to attempt to make spirit contact. Do the spirits get thrown off by the switch to daylight savings time? For the next few weeks, I will look at the clock, and see that it is already 830pm, but in my head, I will tell myself, "oh, thats right! Its really 730, but we did that time change thing." I wonder if spirits are ready at 1:59am, or if they, too, will be running late for the nexy few weeks while adjusting to the time change.

Ha!   We have that daft Daylight Saving thing here in the UK too.

Why is 3 am the best time to make spirit contact?

Other than night time being (usually) quieter than day time, I've never been able to figure out why ghost hunts etc etc always take place at night.  Surely day or night and time generally is not an issue for spirits.
